ALTERNATIVE MOVIE POSTERS:
SYMBOLIZE & SUMMARIZE
Driven by my passion for the design philosophy of Saul Bass, I initiated and led this project at KISD, inspired by his mastery of transforming themes and ideas into symbolic expressions that capture the essence of a film. My vision was to channel his iconic approach into crafting alternative movie posters that vividly convey atmosphere and meaning.
After pitching the concept to our Typography I professor, I secured approval by highlighting the importance of collaboration and interactive engagement among students from diverse backgrounds, fostering a vibrant creative process.

To cultivate collaboration, the group established a feedback loop where participants could share insights, ideas, and progress throughout the project. Weekly meetings and discussions became a key part of this process.

Each participant of the project is assigned to do three Movie Posters to Movies of their choice. At the end, we designed a total of 27 movie posters and exhibited them at kisd. Additionally, I created a Poster to Advertise our final Exhibition

This project also taught me valuable lessons about leadership, guiding others and helping them towards their ideas in projects, as I shared my experiences and insights with my peers.
